CHALLENGE

Replace the old Tolman Hall with a new, eight-story building with approximately 325,000 gross square feet, including 230,000 square feet of academic and research space and 95,000 square feet for lease, while delivering on an aggressive date of occupancy.

SOLUTION

Rapidly integrate extensive Pre-Construction, Planning and Design Build activities in tandem with the total construction team to result in a signature green building (LEED Silver) with a strong emphasis on safety. Seamless scheduling was another priority due to ongoing occupancy by the end user. Despite numerous owner-driven changes throughout the process, the construction team maintained the GMP of the project delivering on time and on budget.
